Carina is Italian for pretty, and from afar, The Carina is reasonably pretty for a condo, but it's now mostly empty, thanks to a 2018 fire that killed 13 people and put 91 in the hospital. Though the buildings are fixed, people are spooked, so rent is cheaper than elsewhere, and a friend of mine has just moved in. Here's a cafe/restaurant on the third floor, where there's also a playground and swimming pool.
