On an outside wall of a press die factory in Gamjeon-dong. This is a reproduction of a painting by Lee Jung-seob [이중섭]. His brief career started just after World War II and lasted through the Korean War. He had to send his wife and kids away to escape the fighting. He starved, suffered from schizophrenia, drank too much and died at age 40 of hepatitis in a Red Cross Hospital in 1956.
Though he only spent a brief time in Busan, he's honored with a beautiful street that reproduce, often in ceramic, many of his drawings and paintings.
