Sculpture by Lee Hyun-woo [이현우] at the 40-Step Stairway. Even searching in Hangul, I could find little about the sculptor. Probably around 50-years-old, he is a graduate of Hongik University in Seoul. He has won several prizes and a commission at Hadong, a little town west of Busan.

After Seoul fell to the Chinese and North Koreans, Busan became a temporary capital. Refugees flooded here. During the panic and crush, family members were separated. In Busan, they went to the 40-Step Stairway to look for their loved ones.
