"My Dream Floor" in German. "the floor of my dreams" in Italian. Lots of used vehicles in Albania. When I first got here, I wrote that Tirana buses were new, but I should have written "newish." Once I started taking city buses, I noticed signs in German, French, Italian or Spanish, so many buses were bought used from all these countries. Albanian buses also seemed new because I had just spent months in Egypt and Lebanon, where there were many really ancient vehicles. (In Sidon, I ran into a passenger van that had been used in Vietnam!) In Albania, too, I would soon enough see very old buses and vans, especially outside Tirana.
