Scattered around Windhoek, a sign like this is mostly ignored. Whenever you receive change here after a purchase, the cashier is always careful to place it in your hand, along with the receipt, and there is almost always skin contact. It's very nice, this slow, deliberate gesture, even if you never hear thank you.
