THO NUOC TRONG on 4-9-22--Saigon copy

My second collection of poems in Vietnamese. These are poems written directly in Vietnamese, and not translated from English. Photo was taken in Ea Kly. Though "WIFE ANH LINH" means "BROTHER LINH'S WIFE," the "WIFE" here is actually a misspelling of "WIFI." Ea Kly is a backwoods place with a high percentage of non-Vietnamese. As for the title of the book, it has two meanings, "Clear Water Poems" and "Domestic Poems," since water in Vietnamese also means country.

Instead of saying, "Which country [or land] are you from?" a Vietnamese would say, "Which water are you from?" To declare love for his country, a Vietnamese would say, "I love my water."

Fantastic! I want to read it on translation. Seriously.
