A while back, I posted a video of Flaco Jiminez. The joy and humanity of his music is a striking contrast to the squalor and violence we're taunted with today.
Yeah, it feels that as I have gotten older everything has gotten worse. And, until about 15 years ago, I had thought that things were always going to get better and better. I had no idea that our government was going to become so powerful, bloated, corrupt, and toxic; they did their damage to the whole world and now it's our own turn (law-abiding, taxpaying, American citizens) to get the shaft.
