The South has risen again!
After 33 years, Napoli is finally atop Serie A again. It has just won the Scudetto. Below are some screenshots of the onfield celebration. Like all his players, manager Luciano Spalletti is mobbed, so here is someone rubbing his bald head. There is a guy in a sombrero with plastic chili peppers all over him. It's not because of Napoli's one Mexican player, Hirving Lozano, who only scored 3 goals this season. (Napoli's top scorer is the Nigerian Victor Osimhen, who netted 22.) The sombrero is because Mexico, like Napoli, is "South." If you think I'm just making shit up, then how do you explain the Confederate Flag during the celebration? The South has risen again!

In Don Det, there's a young German who runs the excellent Torture Sandwich Bar. If you move there, you can even eat curry wurst regularly!
No German food in Pakse, but the Italian restaurant is outstanding and cheap enough. What a surprise to find it here.
There's a great German deli in Cape Town, but South Africa's infrastructure is falling apart, so even if you stay within Cape Town's safest neighborhoods, you may not have electricity for hours at a time.
