Khouvieng Road in 1993,

as photographed by my friend, Mark Barrett, a resident of Luang Prabang. No lane on the outskirts, Khouvieng Road is one of Vientiane's main arteries. Its two best shopping malls are there today. I was on Khouvieng Road just yesterday. I must return to take photos to contrast them with this image.
