Seeing this, I did think immediately of the rising sun flag of imperial Japan. Before it was adopted as the war flag of the Imperial Japanese Army, however, it was used by feudal warlords, as anonymous points out. Hillary will certainly be a war president if elected.
To me, the profile view also evokes Communist posters. Three examples, 1, 2, 3.

Unlike the swastika, the Rising Sun hasn't been banned in postwar Japan.
Hillary won't have my vote in 2016. But I don't know who will.
