5:10AM this morning. In return for food, monks prayed in front of a house. In the dark, many people sat on straw mats to wait for the monks. I saw a group of about a dozen, with woven bamboo baskets containing food, and tiny candles placed on the ground.

Monks also go around like this in Cambodia and Thailand, but not Vietnam.
