The bad news is that this dog and another are often chained to this corner, with their owners nowhere in sight. The good news is that no one tries to cut their chains and steal them to sell to a dogmeat restaurant. The truth is that dogmeat joints have always been extremely rare in southern Vietnam, and are becoming much less popular in the north.

Check out this music video of three dog stealing cowboys. Caught by the dog's knife wielding owner, these cowboys are forced to apologize to the dog. It's odd, too, the bits of English inserted into the singing, such as "Oh no!" and "So sorry!":
