After a month of nonstop Vietnamese food in Saigon and Dak Lak, I finally indulged in a Western meal today. At A Hoài, a neighborhood joint in District 6, I had steak and French fries, plus a Coke, all for $5.43. That's pretty steep for Vietnam, however, for my breakfast this morning of egg noodle soup, with bits of pork, offal, fish and a shrimp, was only $1.08.
